Tracking my kids

My son got a Charge 4 for Christmas. I opted for this instead of the kids Ace since the Ace doesn’t have GPS. How can I use the GPS to track his location? I was told in the store I could do it from the app but I can’t figure it out.

I don't think that is possible.  I think the store gave you bad information.

Also, children under 13 can only be in a family account using Ace or Ace 2.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

While the Charge 4 does have built in GPS it will only be turned on durring the recording of an exercise.

The Charge 4 also lacks a cellular network which would be required for live tracking of a person.

If the case is still sealed I would return it, since as @JohnnyRow points out, only the Ace line can be added to a chips account.
