When will FitBit get together with United Healthcare and come up with a Unitedhealthcare Motion APP?? Please SOON! Apple is leaving Fitbit behind in the health category this way.

Sorry @WHEN this is beyond the knowledge of your fellow Fitbit users. Why not ask United Healthcare?

The more people that all them, the better chance that they might write an app for the ionic and Versa

Thanks for the response, but I have called fitbit and they told me to call Unitedhealthcare Motion. I called Unitedhealthcare Motion and they told me to call Fitbit. Has been very frustrating and the Fitbit Ionic and Versa are Great watches as well as Health trackers. Currently having to use my Ionic as my watch (Awsome watch) and the charge 2 as the Unitedhealthcare Motion tracker. Just would love to be able to use my Ionic Smart Watch as the Motion tracker and have been desperately been trying to find a real answer. Do you have a shortcut where I and others can vote in support of the Unitedhealthcare app for the Ionic and Versa Smart Watches? Thanks again for you quick help and response.

Using the watch as a motion detector for United Healthcare is different from having a United healthcare app on the watch, which would at best only give access to your United Healthcare account. Having an app will not turn the ionic into a movement tracker.

The link that @MarreFitbit supplied is for having more trackers work with United Healthcare.

As for an app on the Ionic and Versa for access to your United Healthcare account, I did a search of the Feature Suggestion Board and got no hits. Feel free to add a suggestion if you would like. As for an app, this could be written by United Health Care or Fitbit. Maybe even anybody if their API will allow it.

Rich_Laue. I do not think that you understand what I am talking about. You see, UnitedHealthcare makes an app called "UHC Motion" that allows certain devices (Watches with health tracking capabilities and Health Trackers) that are supported (that I have been told by Fitbit that Unitedhealthcare is to provide the support for the Ionic and Versa watches and I have also been told by Unitedhealhcare that Fitbit is to provide the support for the Ionic and Versa watches.). Basically the way that it works is that if you do certain walking exercises, walking for 6 times a day for 500 steps you get a Dollar and if you walk 3000 steps in 30 minutes you get a Dollar and if you walk for a total for 10,000 steps in a Day you get a dollar. For a total of $3.00 a day and you can get this every day of the year for a total of $1095 towards the United Healthcare HSA plan. This helps to provide spendable insurance money for my healthcare. Thanks

Hello @WHEN have you read the Feature suggestion to add more watches.

Add more Fitbit devices to UHC (United Healthcare ...

The Charge 2 is already supported for the United Healthcare and it does not have any United healthcare app.

An app on the Versa or Ionic will not be able to run in the background, requiring the user to open it, and have it opened for any steps they would want transferred to their healthcare account

I do understand what your asking, and it will not need an app installed on the Versa or Ionic. The Charge 2 does what your asking and there is no app on the Charge 2 needed.

Now if you all Fitbit for a United Healthcare app, in the same way it was asked in this thread, without mentioning why, then yes Fitbit would say that it is the responsibility of United Healthcare to write the App. Fitbit has already provided all the tools they would need.

If you all United Healthcare to allow the Versa or Ionic to work with them, then yes they will tell you that it needs to be setup by Fitbit because the best they can do is write an app and this will not work.

It is the same for the Ionic Strava app that can not record your Strava rided.

The UnitedHealthcare Motion piece does get installed on my Charge 2 in order to keep track of my walking and communicates to my phone through bluetooth. I do not need to take my phone with me when I walk and watch updates the phone FitBit/UHCMotion app when I get back. And again, there needs to be an easier way to find to Vote up Fitbit Ionic and Versa watch additions (It needs to be on the More Product Help Forum). You have to drill down through the help forums to find to vote up. Also, a shortcut in my feedback will help some, but it needs to be seen by everyone. The term is I think a Sticky Note which stays at the top of the list and does not drop down. And just like you referenced about putting a link in the signature (would only reach a few people) was Non-Specific and it needs to be Specific.

@WHEN  I hope you're doing well! Thanks for sharing your suggestions regarding United Healthcare App.

I'd recommend voting for this Feature Suggestion if you haven't done so already. If that idea is missing any specific details you would like to see, leave a comment on the idea. Note that the idea is already marked as Under Consideration.

@Rich_Laue  Thanks for sharing your help on this thread.

Indeed, the apps for Healthcare are developing very quickly and new versions and possibilities are constantly being released. One of the most useful for me as for a person who is working in this sphere is Health Level-7. To cut it short, iris an international message, standard providing a framework for communicating patient information between entities in the healthcare industry, such as between health care providers or between software applications from different vendors. So I'm very pleased with it because it really simplified our work for the last years. Indeed, very convenient.

Who is writing these apps for United healthcare?

Couldn't United health care write an app for the Fitbit tracker?

Is this working in Europe or just United States?

I don't believe in free medicine. It is not qualitative, so I don't recommend it to anyone. Last month I had a problem with my stomach, and I had a chance to do all the examinations for free because I started to use my medical center's new health care management software. I like that I could save some money on this, but the doctors were behaving differently. I started to think they were not so serious and friendly with me, just because I have a free examination. This is the main problem of our country, without money no one wants to do anything.
