A few days ago I noticed the weather not updating. When I click on my weather app, it says sync the fitbit mobile app to update. So I sync the app and it does not update. I checked my location services, I restarted my phone, I even restarted my fitbit. It won't let me uninstall and reinstall. Can anyone help?

I’ve looked all over the app but do not see any instructions.

Mine won’t let me add another city. I thought about adding a neighboring town, but it won’t add. It looks like it’s been added, but when I go back to it, the new city is gone.
im so frustrated with this watch.

Agree. Within one week, my versa lite initially did not receive text notifications. That took multiple troubleshooting steps to solve. Then, the weather app stopped working. After trying g every troubleshooting step there, that never was fixed. It just wasn’t syncing with the app. Then the Agenda app did the same thing. Nothing would update. That was just within a week. There are clear software bugs with the app and watch itself that are too frustrating to overlook. I ended up returning mine and spending an extra $100 to get an Apple Watch 3 series. That watch has proven much more reliable and functional. I’ll never get another fitbit device, no matter the price.

Hello, I totally agree with your analysis of this watch I am on my 3rd model in less than a year (2 were replacements as the watches kept having issues). The most recent one being delivered 12/5. I have called Fitbit 4 times in the last 30 days and as of tonight they told me it is a “known issue”, which is a cop out. I have an iPhone so I am probably going to get that instead... but if you find a fix, please post it as I do not WANT to lose my Fitbit if I do not have to!

I have the Fitbit versa 2, and my weather app does not work! It keeps telling me to sync it on the mobile app. I’ve tried everything, turning off, turning on, deleting the Fitbit app, and reinstalling. Sometimes the weather app will work for a few days, then it goes away again. So far all this watch is good for is fitness tracking, as I’ve had nothing but problems with the apps!

I finally got mine to work after trying everything suggested...and then not sure what worked exactly but I did a force sync, added 2 more cities (it has a max of 3). Toggled wifi and bluetooth off and on and that seemed to work.

One by one, my apps have stopped working. Now, I tried to restore factory settings. Guess what, now it won’t download the stupid Fitbit operating system. I bought this from QVC back in October. I will be calling to see if they will take it back.
this is a sorry piece of CRAP!!!!

My fit bit weather app keeps saying no location information. I have checked and double checked every function to be sure they are properly turned add. I also did to factory reset on my fit that because then it failed to sync. Nothing seems to be working properly one week after I have received it. Is there a way I can talk to a real person about this?

I had to do the same thing. Time consuming and frustrating as heck

I’ve tried all of the above and my weather info still won’t show on my watch. What should I try next?

The ONLY way I have been able to get my Versa 2 to properly sync weather data after it stopped doing so for no reason is to add a city in the app settings, re-sync the watch... it should now show data on the watch properly. Then you can go in and delete the city you added, sync again and you are back to normal.
The only problem is this will recur, i fully expect the problem to resurface and this fix will have to be done again.
There is clearly a bug in this app and Fitbit should show some leadership getting it fixed because, as mentioned earlier in this thread, app reliability is turning my "smart watch" into just a watch with heart rate monitoring.

I have followed the same directions and it end up telling me to ‘sinc the Fitbit mobile app to update’. I still don’t get the weather. What do I do now?
