Hi, is anyone else having problems with Game Golf after the latest firmware update? I can get the Game Golf app to open but when I press Start Round it just goes straight back to the game Golf App symbol.
I've tried deleting and reloading Game Golf, deleting and reloading the FitBit app, deleting reloading and restarting my iPhone 7. All was well until the firmware was updated, now I am somewhat perplexed and frustrated! Any advice gratefully received!
I press game golf
Choose my course, press start
and it goes back to Game Golf logo
Best AnswerYep. I went golfing today and had the exact same problem but with an Android phone. I also tried various things to get it to work but the app just goes away after hitting "Start Round". I wonder how we get this fixed? Maybe someone will figure out a way to get it to work. I sent a support email to gamegolf about the problem so they are aware of it.

Best AnswerAppin,
Same problem exactly as you described. Game Golf had been working extremely well until the recent version upgrade.
All the indications on both my phone and Ionic show a successful download, but when I select a course, my Ionic crashes back to the previous page. Same exact problem as you described.
Thanks for describing the problem so well!

Best AnswerHi Mike, the good news is you can stop thinking it was something you did wrong and you can stop deleting and reinstalling and rebooting in the vain hope that it will sort it. Second good news is the Game Golf are aware and working on a solution. Bad news is I have no idea when that fix will arrive but they have promised to let me know.

Best AnswerHi, I am assured by game Golf that the problem is now fixed and although I haven't had a chance to try it out properly yet, it is no longer crashing when I open it. If anybody gets a chance to try it out live, as it were, please let me know if it now back to working ok again.

Best AnswerAppin,
Great timing as I'm heading out now to play 9 holes. So I hit the update button in the phone Gamegolf app then did a sync to Ionic. Did a quick test and it now opens and shows distances (yeah). So In my case didn't have to delete the app.
I'll report back in a couple hours after my round.

Best AnswerThe good news is Gamegolf is working again with the update and I used it for the nine holes I played today.
The bad news is it kept resetting once or twice a hole and I had to keep starting it up, reminding of the issues we had when the app first came out.
I'll try re-installing the app to see if that helps and disable the Wallet app as that seemed to help in the past.
I'm glad Blasko chimed in about Golf GPS, if I continue with the reset issue with Gamegolf I'll try Golf GPS. The last time I tried it ( long time ago ) it only worked in meters but I see that yards is a settable option now.

Seems to work on my watch but not tried on the course, is there a way of having it on permanent during the round as i have having to keep pressing buttons? The watch goes to sleep after 30 seconds. Cheers matt

Hi all! Thanks for taking the time to report the issues you are experiencing.
Just a heads up, a new version of the Game Golf app (v1.0.8) is now available in the Fitbit App Gallery which should help alleviate some of these issues. This version helps to resolve crashes when starting a round that has affected users after updating to OS 3.0.
If you haven't already done so, I recommend checking out this article to make sure your app is up to date.
If you are still experiencing any crashes/issues with Game Golf after updating, please feel free to let me know in this thread. Thanks, everyone!
