@oma57 The light under the watch is constantly flashing. Probably no issue when it's out of your sight but it may cause an issue if you start looking at it (hence also warning in case of epilepsy). It's like warning of flashing images on the TV in some shows or games. In here, you have bright and quickly flashing green light.

Thanks for the reply, but it has nothing to do with the eyes. The medicine I use and other photosensitive medicine makes your skin sensitive for the sun. But it looks like its also for the green led lights, like LZeeW wrote.

@oma57 true. But this is probably why it's worth to ask a specialist whether it's safe for you to wear the device 🤷

@oma57 That red spot is exactly what I was writing about.

This are the red spots after wearing the fitbit at night. Do you think this is from the leds?

Anyone else got burn marks by wearing their Fitbit sense 2?
the temp just went from winter days to +20 in Scandinavia and seems like my Fitbit can’t handle it and started to burn my skin

@oma57 It's hard to say. But you are sensitive to something.

Hi @Jumana27 - it's possible that the watch developed a fault so check when charging it doesn't get hot and if so that confirms it and stop immediately.
It would be a good idea to chat via the Fitbit App, Help & support section, Contact Customer support and send them the link to your post, they take this matter seriously.

Have you sent those photos into your doctor? They would be in a better position to provide you with an answer than we are.

yes I send the photos to my doctor and the answer was: Hydrochlorothiazide has the side effect that it slightly increases
the risk of skin cancer with regular exposure to UV radiation from sunlight.
This is a different type of light than the LED lighting of the Fitbit.
The redness may be due to hypersensitivity of the skin to the material of the Fitbit or due to the LED light.
In any case, if it causes skin irritation, my advice is to stop wearing the Fitbit
I have to say that I tightened the strap for going to sleep, because the night before the Fitbit did not measured my sleep.

I have an allergy to nickel and my Fitbit causes a severe rash every time I wear it. I've done all of the suggested steps: washing regularly, wearing it loosely, keeping it dry, taking breaks from it - but having it on my skin for only a few mins starts a painful red rash because of the metal on the bit itself. Question is: has anyone tried painting the back with clear coat (like clear nail polish) with success? I've done that with some cheap jewelry, and my skin is fine with that, but I'm concerned about how that could effect the Fitbit sensors. Thanks!

I’ve had my Fitbit for years and happy with it no issues but over past few months I have a weird brown mark under the back of the face it doesn’t hurt but is ugly so I’ve now taken it off to see if improves - also my arm has a dint where the face sat very weird - anyone else had this development - as I say not a burn or any pain

From the manual, but probably nothing you don't know:
I have not tried it, not having an allergy, so I'm in no position to offer advise, but I would suggest at first not painting the sensor cluster in the middle. You also have the big metallic C-shaped sensors on the back and the metallic ring around the edge of the glass, that are used for ECG and EDA scan. Whether you paint over them at first might depend on how important those functions are to you.

I believe the sensors need good electrical connection with your skin, painting a clear coat over these sensors would break that connection. So it's a big NO for what your proposing...

Yesterday 5/19/2024 I woke up with a stingy sensation on my wrist. I removed my device and realized I had been burned.
I did report this to Fitbit but the only thing they offered me was a refund. The pictures I have here are from earlier in the day and the blister has sense grown. I am currently treating it and will send updated pictures. I have reported this to the consumer reports as I do not believe Google Fitbit will do much to resolve this issue and offering a refund just isn't good enough. I have looked this up and this year in March there was another person who was burned by a different model. Burns have been an issue for quite some time.
