Access Denied to Main Menu on MacBook Pro

In May 2022 I downloaded the app for my newly purchased Charge 5 onto my 2021 MacBook Pro M1.

Starting about a month ago, hen I click on the Fitbit logo at the top of my MacBook screen, and then on “Open Main Menu,” I receive this error message:

“AccessDeniedAccess Denied82JS2QC0APWRVNBWZYd80P3bMZ0pgmRRzhXvAH3eqKKMUH90LgaajadkR9W7XHEWejXdGl70jNEeQFsTlmXp9ua/DHBFOwREoJyq/75YUMeABHYn1zp2uj80HPw=“

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I don’t believe I’ve ever updated the app on my Charge 5. (I’ve never received a message that I needed to do so.) Maybe that’s the problem?

Thanks for your help!

Hello @SunsetRunner and welcome to the Community.  It sounds like you downloaded Fitbit Connect onto your MacBook.  Fitbit deactivated Fitbit Connect in October 2022.  It also deactivated the Fitbit app for Windows 10, ending all PC and Mac syncing.  You must use a compatible smartphone or tablet to sync your Charge 5.
