Switched to a Charge 5 specifically because of SpO2 tracking but was disappointed to find that its not a live feature. Please consider making this a live feature especially since the technology exists to capture the data during sleep. If you can’t make it free for users, at least make it available for Premium subscribers.

Hi, @Amikami , the best place for expressing your views on this is on the Product Feedback forum which is closely followed by Fitbit Moderators and the most popular suggestions are passed on to the Fitbit engineers responsible for developing features.
I did a search for you and have found this similar suggestion to your idea. It already has a lot of votes! I would suggest following that link and commenting on, and voting for, the suggestion there! Hopefully it will be implemented some time in the future, if the technology is available for accurate “live” detection.
Welcome to the forums!

Hello I have purchased a charge 5 for almost exactly the same reasons. main use being medical monitoring or heart and SPO2 and was also very disappointed to find out it was only during sleep. I then got a galaxy watch 5 pro to try obtaining full time SPO2 and ended up finding out that they too falsely advertise a capability without warning that there are constraints. they also can't monitor SPO2 outside sleep time. their only advantage was that SPO2 measurement can be triggered on user request (requires sitting still for some 30 seconds) however i ended up finding out that if we accept the sleep limitation charge 5 is better than galaxy watch 5 pro on that specific level as the measurements are more continuous (many gaps in galaxy watch 5 time series) and galaxy watch has many data export/sharing issues which are easier to handle with a charge 5 (despite my initial impression that their api was not well done because of things such as no sleep stage export from web api and lack of uniformity in the api querying - especially if using later added features such as ecg). I am not going to keep trying watches for obvious budget reasons but there are a few candidates that seem better and clearly state that they do full day spo2
withings scanwatch seems to be made with medical use as its main purpose instead of fitness does not deliver much besides telling time and tracking health sensors (but at least i guess it will do this properly)
huawei band 6 equivalent to charge 5 in terms of product positionning but seems much better in all aspects at clearly claims the 24/7 spo2 capability
huawei watch D full smartwatch that even has real blood pressure monitoring (way more expensive than any other watch) and does everything else expected from a health monitoring device
