Bluetooth connection

Every time I check the app I am told it is not connected to Bluetooth. I am told to go to Bluetooth and ‘Ignore this Device’ and then pair with the device when requested. The device will pair, until the next time I try and I have to go through the whole process again. I have tried deleting the app and then reinstalling, but the same thing happens. Help!

What phone do you have @StutheGooner and I'll move to the proper board. 

Do you turn Bluetooth off. 

Does the fitbit app have permission to run in the background?
