Choosing 12 months premium from the Fitbit Ionic Recall

Hi, I filed for a recall of my Ionic and was given the option if I want the 12 months Fitbit premium. I am already on an annual premium plan I bought that is expected to expire next year. If I choose the 12 months premium, will this override my existing plan or will I be given a code so I can save it until my plan expires?
