Fitbit Premium and refund policies

Any other poor unsuspecting customers been scammed with the recall and free premium subscription? 
I was gifted a years premium when they recalled my watch last year. Unknowing it entered into to an annual subscription, 

I received an email last month stating the renewal would be £0.00 but I find they have taken £79 and are point blank refusing to refund even though I rang them same day as noticing. 
absolutely furious, how can they take £79 when the email clearly stated the renewal was £0 so I didn’t action it. I feel it’s fraud. I’m taking it up with my bank. 
but when I spoke to Fitbit the guy insinuated others may have rung with same complaint so really just wondering if any of you have and if you got a refund. 
I am now going to apple watch as I’m so annoyed at Fitbit

I am in the same boat and livid. I got a free subscription with my last device and then they just charged me without warning. I contacted them the same day and they refused to refund. It has to be illegal.

I’m taking it up with my bank as they agree they can’t do that as the email stated £0 so have started proceedings. It’s disgusting and shouldn’t be allowed to happen, I imagine there’s many more in the same situation

They should advise when and how much the renewal will be. As they informed me it would renew but at £0 that’s what the email stated!
