Flights Climbed WAY OFF

So, for the past 5 days my Versa 2 has been going bonkers mounting flight after flight of stairs while I am in my 2 bedroom (single floor) apartment. This morning I had 30 flights of stairs within 2 hours of being up, with "0" zone minutes - something's off. Anyone else had this happen? What did you do?

I've now restarted it several times, updated the software and done a factory reset.

No, and I'm not even clear if it's a software or hardware issue. It doesn't seem to be something that Fitbit is working on.
