I have already 2 years premium, monthly paid. I don't want to cancel or lose data. I now purchased new device (Sense 2) with 6 months free premium. How do I activate the free period?  (It is worth €54,-)

@Telecaster1960 You won't lose your data. But you will have to cancel your monthly subscription to activate the six months free trial. After you cancel the subscription, you should have the option in the app to start the free trial.

Thanks, Just to update:  I indeed cancelled my premium subscription. About 24 hours after the expiry date, you receive a message in the app saying that the new device comes with 6 months of free premium and if I would want to start a subscription. Start date of the payment is clearly stated, so there is no confusion. No data is lost. Only odd thing is that Fitbit sees you as new.

All good

Does the unused portion get refunded then? I literally just paid for the yearly subscription and my 2yr old fitbit broke. I’ll need to get a new one and obviously want to make use of the free 6months as well.

@VelVitKitTy No, if you have paid for a yearly subscription, I do not believe they give out refunds for the unused portion. You are welcome to call Fitbit and try, but I would highly doubt they'd give a refund. You should expect to use your remaining Premium that you paid for and then when it's about to come due for renewal, you will want to cancel it and then you can sign up for the free trial.
