Health Metrics and Readiness score recorded incorrectly

When I don’t get a sleep score (about half the time) the HRV value is set to zero and this in turn sets the readiness score too low as a result. The value for HRV should default to the average when no heart rate has been recorded for that day/night.

About three weeks ago my charge 6 stopped giving me a readiness score an HRV and Breathing Rate.

I have followed all the steps in previous posts to no avail.  I even tried it with my charge 5 for afew days and received no results.  Please Advise.

Thanks,

Mike

Hello @Manmike8

Sorry to see that you're not getting your Readiness score, HRV, or Breathing Rate on your Charge 6 or Charge 5.

If you weren't seeing these on your Charge 6 but see them when you wear your Charge 5, that would indicate there might be an issue with your Charge 6. But since you mentioned that you don't get these when you wore your Charge 5, there's something else going on.

I know the Readiness score is a feature that requires a Premium subscription. Do you have a Fitbit Premium subscription? If so, you should see "fitbit premium" at the top of the Today page in the Fitbit app.

Thank you for getting back to me. It was not working on my charge 5 or
charge 6. So I don't think it's an issue with the actual worn device. I
have uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit application on my phone. Erase
the cash. I'm sort of it with that. Let me know what you think and I will
try it.

Thanks
Mike

Hello @Manmike8

Thank you for the additional information.

Would you please let us know if you have a Premium subscription?

Also, which version of the Fitbit app do you have? You can check by tapping on your picture (Android) /gear icon (iOS) in the upper right of the Today page. Then select Help. The Fitbit app version info should be at the top of the Help & Support page.

After several years and numerous exchanges, resets, and re-positionings of Fibit Charge 4’s, 5’s, and 6’s, I continue to get no Sleep Stages, Sleep Scores, HRV’s, and Breathing Rates.  Now, three months into a trial of Fitbit Premium, I see that I also get no Readiness Score.  Many other Charge 4, 5, and 6 users report these same results. Should we just give up, and what other non-Fitbit tracker would you recommend we switch to?

I got no stages until I turned the sleep sensitivity up. I assume you have turned sleep tracking to sensitive on the ap? . I liked my Huawei band the sleep tracker updated through the night on the watch so you could see each time you woke in the night how much sleep you have had and how much more to get to target. . According to the quantified scientist on youtube. Huawei is not as accurate as Fitbit I think he is probably correct . Apple watch is the most accurate of the watches and amongst the best followed by oual ring. Fitbit is  the second best watch type and the best of the fitness trackers for sleep. I suppose you could try an apple watch but you need an apple phone and the battery is very poor on an apple.  You could also possibly try a fitbit inspire. I think the charges horrible strap makes means may encourage people to wear a lose which may not help. I found the strap  annoying and tucking under rather than over made it not nice. I bought a new strap on amazon on with in a few days of buying. For sleep tracking I am broadly satisfied with the senility turned up. I probably should have bought the inspire 3 as you pay 55 more for the charge which has a bad strap design GPS that does not work and is bigger so may be less comfortable. I would think firstly you should turn the sensitivity up and possibly a different strap if that does not work

My Versa 3 is paired with the app. I've toggled Bluetooth on and off. I've restarted the Fitbit. None of these measures have helped. It's been 3 days since the device synced sleep and health metric data. It is tracking my steps and exercise, so I know it's connected, but without the sleep data I also don't  get a readiness score. My Fitbit is only 4 months old.

Hi everyone, and welcome to our new members. @RiekoC Thanks for stepping by to help our members.

Thanks for the detailed information and your efforts while working on this matter. I'd like to explain that the issue with the readiness score not showing up has been escalated to our team and they're working on this matter. We're keeping them informed on the impact this has caused you, and this thread will be updated as soon as we receive more information from them.

In regards to the Health Metrics, I'd recommend this help article which explains what prevents your device from recording these stats.

According to the SDK documentation, the Breathing Rate and HRV data will 'not' be returned if the Fitbit system is unable to determine sleep stages (deep rem, light).

Therefore, if the app just displays Google's basic sleep bar chart and not the detailed sleep stage charts, then you won't get Breathing Rate or HRV heart metrics either, by design.

This has been happening every single day with my wife's Inspire 3 device that she has been wearing since 21-May, which is anything but a Premium experience.

I wore that same device for 2 months prior to that and I got sleep stage charts and all the heart metrics every day, so this is clearly a serious product performance issue that should be resolved with another device FW and/or app SW update ASAP.
