How do I get a refund for Fitbit premium?

Hi, so I took up the free Fitbit premium offer, I didn’t really use it and wanted to cancel it before the free period ended, however on logging in to try and cancel it, it was coming up that I had no active subscriptions. Nothing I tried allowed me to cancel it as the subscription didn’t exist, untill today when they charged me for a month of access. I have proof that my account was saying I had no subscriptions and the inability to cancel any and that no payment details were coming up against the premium account in the settings section. Only after they have taken my money today did my details come up and allow me to cancel it, but not till after the next 4 weeks are over. I can’t find any contact details and are very disappointed with what Fitbit have done. Please help. Just want my money back and to be done with the premium.

Hi, @Nellemk! You can find the contact information for customer support here: https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support?language=en_US Depending on how busy they are, they occasionally will take down one of the options, but there's a live chat and a phone number on there.

I had the same thing happen to me. I put on my calendar the day I would need to cancel (yesterday). I then spent 30 minutes trying to figure out on the Fitbit app and  Fitbit website how to cancel the premium membership. NO luck--no mention anywhere of the Premium Membership or how to cancel.  I gave up and was going to call today when I got a notice that I was charged through the Apple Store for the membership.  I hadn't remembered that it was done through the Apple store (Why would I or anyone remember that since it's a Fitbit product. I chatted with Fitbit support and she explained how to cancel on my iPhone settings through Apple I asked for a refund and was told that Fitbit couldn't give one to me since the charge was through Apple--kind of a scam in a way. You would think they could put a one sentence disclosure on their website or in the Fitbit App that cancellations must be made through the Apple Store. I can only conclude that the reason they don't is that it's a money maker for them. Think of all the people who are charged $9.99 cuz they can't figure out how to cancel in time. For me, It's not the $$ but the principal. I'm going to pursue this as high as I can to get an answer and a refund . Maybe a direct comment on Twitter would help.  I was given a link to a Google site by Fitbit support for refunds that conveniently disappeared when the chat was over. I'm going to now call and talk to a live person.  Shame on Fitbit/Google for not making the cancellation procedure transparent !!!!!!

I too had FitBit Premium as a free trial, then I decided I'd try the year. I got notification that my subscription was coming up for renewal and I didn't want to renew. I went to Google Play Store, no subscriptions listed, no order history. Went to FitBit app to manage subscription, trying to cancel. It brought me right back to Google Play and again, no subscriptions to mange. Lo and behold I was charged $83.99 on July 9th and I have been trying since I received the email notification to get a refund. Can't call Google Play Customer Service, they have a pre-recorded message that tells you that due to Covid they have a limited number of people taking calls and to go to the support center online and it disconnects. I have tried everything to get my money back. Such a load of crap and bad business practice on both FitBit and Google's part.

Total pain, my boyfriend bought  me my Fitbit- which came with free premium for 3 months. When it was time to renew he cancelled it.  Then I got billed through APPLE.  Now I'm trying to get it refunded. He's the one with the account and the reminder yet I got the bill?  Kind of shady, I'm sure I'll get it refunded but it shouldn't be that hard.

Look at the previous replies, including mine. I was abel ti finally cancel it by going to my subscriptions on Apple but they never got back to me about a refund for the $9.99 they charged me when I had tried to cancel through their app, trying to reach customer service etc. It must be a big money make for them since they don't seem to care about the bad press they receive. I've given up on Fit Bit and bought an Apple Watch instead. It turns out to be much more accurate about distances. And the Apple Fitness premium app (must pay for it) is really good with all kinds of classes etc. I day drop Fitbit. From what I've seen they don't care about their customers.

this totally happened to me. I've tried cancelling through the website and the app and both say I have no subscriptions to cancel. they're already charged me for a month and yet there's still no option to cancel!

I have just had this happen to me, except I didn't even realise I was being billed for premium. It went through paypal and was the same price as another membership I had at the time. I cancelled the other membership, which I thought the payments were and then saw it had come out again! After some digging, I realised it was actually fitbit premium at the same price as the previous membership to another company and I had been paying it for TEN MONTHS! I have just started the process for hopefully getting a refund.

Hi, I went to cancel my Fitbit premium annual subscription a week before it was due and it had already charged me. Can you tell me how you’re going about getting a refund so I can do the same, please? Good luck!

This is definitely a scam. Same happened to me.  Fitbit charged yearly premium through Apple, which Expires 5/20/2023. I tried to cancel on 5/20/2022 for refund, Fitbit sends me to Apple and Apple sends me to Fitbit.  Of unable to get a live person for either.  Ultimately Fitbit is responsible and should prorate payment and refund.  I filed with my bank for fraud but as the months pass, the refund is dwindling.  Buyer Beware on Fitbit.

Hi, can you tell me how to start the refund process please?  I’ve been charged for a premium Fitbit subscription that I cancelled, along with all the other millions of people…. Outrageous

Hi. I’m still waiting for my bank to give me final verdict on dispute of
charges. I’m sure they are having a hard time investigating since Fitbit
sends me to Apple and Apple sends me to Fitbit. No live person. I will
update as soon as I find out.
