First of all, the customer contact chat service is absolutely useless.
can someone please advise why my husband can not avail of the three month premium trial with his new versa 3. I have spent too much time talking to people online at Fitbit who clearly do not read nor listen to the query I have.

I see where your disappointment is coming from. If the Premium trial isn't showing in your app, please visit the Fitbit Store to activate it. Keep in mind that this is for users new to Fitbit Premium as Versa 3 doesn't come with a trial.
