I totally agree. The fitbit app now uses so many different suggestions on the app to encourge me to register their premium service. Sometimes I just don't know it requires a premium service until I expand the message or click into the details. It would be great if I could just opt out of those repetitive ads.

I’m a brand new Fitbit user. I was unable to remove the advertisement . Pressing the X in the corner did nothing

Any recommendation for an alternate to FitBit other than an Apple Watch? I’m afraid to glance at my FitBit app, especially, when walking, for fear of selecting the “Subscribe” notifications that constantly pop up. I did hat with another app and it took several attempts to get the charge removed from my credit card. I was making “lemonade” of the virus lock-down by exercising regularly. This is a pain.

Agree. Any recommendations for an alternate tracker other than Apple Watch?

It looks like the Premium banner has made an unwelcome return. 👎
This time it's on the Sleep Detail screen and there's no cross to remove it. I already did the Premium trial and didn't see the value in it. How do I remove this banner please?

@PatTheDog I am experiencing the same here. This must be one of the changes Fitbit is increasing its Premium free trial from 7 to 90 days just now. I don't see a solution except enrolling the free trial for who hasn't yet started...

Also cannot remove ad for -sleep score details- try premium. I have all the details I want and would appreciate knowing how to make that annoyance go away. Thanks

There is no “x” in right corner of the banner displayed on my iPhone.

I share your irritation. This thread is marked as "answered", meaning the answer is "no way to get rid of Fitbit's in-app adverts".
I am so tired of Fitbit's user-interface problems (failures to update screen after syncing) and operational problems (failure to sync, failure to reliably detect sleep states), and their useless product support that I am looking into alternatives.

I'm here for the same reason and can't believe this thread is marked as answered when there is no way to remove the annoying ad. Fitbit is acting like I didn't pay for this watch.
Why in God's name are they putting annoying, ads in the middle of data that the watch is providing? It's like I wandered onto some third-rate website.
I personally tried premium, I'm not even sure how long the trial was for because I saw there was no value after one day. I wouldn't pay a dollar a month for premium let alone $10 a month.
Fitbit, remove the trashy ads from the app. If people want to overpay for that service they can but don't force the rest of us to deal with horrible UI choices. You're just driving customers to other platforms.
Desperation is not a good look.

I’d vote for all of these “stoptheads” posts 100 times each if I could! I just can’t fathom the apathy of Fitbit. I’ve been just dealing with this frustration because of my investment, but I recently came into some inheritance $. I’m ready to go shopping for an alternative!

The previous response indicated there is a little x in top right corner of the Try Premium banner. On my iPhone the Banner appears in the Sleep panel and there is no little x in the top right corner. If I click on the banner, it opens up the complete verbiage and the small x in the upper left corner merely dismisses the full message and returns to the screen with the annoying banner displayed. So, the method described previously no longer seems to work and the banner is a complete annoyance since I have no intention of trying a service that costs $80/year and I have to look online to find out what the monthly rate is. It's very annoying to have to look at that banner every time I go to look at my sleep information.

No such luck! there is a large X at the top left screen which does NOTHING.
Only wy out appears to be a subscribe button which I have no intention of doing.

Sure you can hit the X in the upper right corner. But a big ole banner ad comes up every single time. It is SO annoying. In addition to the ad for Fitbit premium I get ads for the Versa watch which I've already bought. Please tell the Fitbit bosses to leave us alone. Thank you very, very much and stay well!

I didn't buy a Fitbit to get ads I can't turn off. If you want to give me a Fitbit, OK. But I paid for what I want. I don't want any additional services. Perhaps I'll just pitch this thing in a trash and go with an Apple Watch.
Fitbit. Another company that's gotten too greedy. Another idea in a marketing meeting that will reduce demand rather than expand it.

I've pressed this x 20 times across as many days. No means no, stop making it reappear.
