No second watch support?

When I added my new Pixel watch 2 it told me it had to replace my old Pixel watch one. Is it true I can't have two devices on my account. I would think there would be support for two different watches. I promise I'll only wear them one at a time.

@Woodvp you can have both Pixel Watches in the Watch app, but it is only possible to have one watch at a time in the Fitbit app.

There is a roundabout way of doing it if you have the app installed on multiple phones.  Remove your paired device and then go to pair one device on one phone and stop before you agree to the terms of use.  On phone #2 you repeat that with the other device.  You then click accept on both phones at the same time.  I saw someone suggest this elsewhere yesterday and it worked for me.  Both devices function fine so I'm not sure why they stopped letting multiple devices be a thing without this unofficial way of doing it.
