When I try to sign up for the 6 months Premium membership in the Fitbit app on my Android phone, the payment method defaults to google pay for a gmail address I never use. I have never used google pay, I don’t understand it, and I am reluctant to do anything linked to an email address I don’t use, as I am worried I won’t ever be able to cancel. There must be another way to pay?

My understanding is that because fitbit is (now?) a Google owned company, they must use Google Play as the primary interface. You can put a credit card in there if you want it to be error free. I had paypal and it choked and kicked me out of fitbit premium. Not my fault. So I'm working with them to resolve. Lots of bs. If my daughter didnt rave about all the fitbit sense and premium features I never would have got one of these myself. Too glitchy, can't rely on step counts. just a poor UX
