I've activated my free 1 year premium subscription after putting my credit card in Google Play.

 

Normally I don't keep my card details on there, it makes me uncomfortable, and I don't intend to continue with the subscription once the trial ends.

 

Can someone please confirm if the free trial will still continue for the year even if I cancel the subscription? Thanks

Yes, it is no different from other app subscriptions in Play Store, it is safe to cancel your subscription..
