I would like to take up Fitbits 90 days free trial but they keep asking me for my Google password which I am not giving them in a month of Sundays. So how do I take up the offer?

Hi there, @BNevis. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums.
In order to get your 90-day trial of Premium you need to provide all purchase requirements. Please confirm you're purchasing your Premium subscription in the right place. You can read more details here: How do I purchase or start my trial of Fitbit Premium?
Thanks for your understanding.

Like its instructions for activating the 'Premium' trial, Fitbit's response is not a model of lucidity. However, it appears you were correct in not wishing to provide your Google password, merely for using 'Premium' facilities for 90 days, which were purchased with your Fitbit device. Having provided credit card details, it is not clear to me why a Google password should be required. As the trial expires in 6 months, unless a subscription is activated, why would a Fitbit password not suffice? Insisting on a Google password is an irritation, which in my case will result in the opposite of Fitbit's intended commercial effect. Alternatively, perhaps I have misunderstood the instructions and should await their elucidation?

@BNevis @ceps I'm pretty sure when you start a free trial, the Fitbit app then has to open to the Google Play or Apple Store, which is why it's asking you to sign in with your Google password. Fitbit doesn't store your credit card info -- it's all done through your Google Play or Apple Store. You manage the subscription through Google Play. So you do need to login to Google Play to proceed with signing up for the free trial. Then, you'll have to cancel the free trial through Google Play before it charges your credit card.
