Hi,
As of Monday 30th Sept 2024, my Fitbit premium app has stopped reporting the useful sleep data of “deep sleep”, “REM”, “light sleep” and “awake”. It now reports sleep, restlessness and awake. Totally useless data as far as I’m concerned as it now says I’m only asleep for a couple of hours a night and the rest is restlessness with a couple of minutes awake.
How do I get back the old format that was useful. If this is an update - it’s useless.

Sleep stages just stopped reporting for me yesterday, 11/11/24. None of the causals you listed above are a factor. After reading all the comments, I thought I'd wait another day and see if stages magically reappeared but it did not. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted, cleared the cache and nothing has worked. Sleep stages is one of the primary reasons I keep FitBit. Is it a problem with the Google Pixel Watch 2??
Are there other options for getting sleep stages back besides just waiting for it to magically reappear? Again, none of the causals you listed are a factor. Nothing has changed with how I use or wear my Google Pixel Watch 2. Nothing.

Thank you. Somehow my sleep stages re-appeared this morning. No rhyme or reason as to why

I have had the same problem with my sleep stages, and none of those are issued - batt charged to 100%, did not begin sleep with the watch (just fell asleep), it's not loose or tight (same band setting for almost a year), not sleeping differently - but this is day 5 or 6 without stages, only sleep/restless/awake. App is up to date. I have a Google Pixel 2 Watch with Fitbit app. I wonder what's going on.

Hey there. Like everyone else here, I'm experiencing the same exact problem since Oct 27. And no I didn't change anything in the way I sleep, the way I use the app, the way I wear the watch, the battery level is always high before I go to sleep, I always sleep more than 3 hours, so no I changed nothing. Also, the app, both on device and on the watch, is updated. But still no luck. I believe it's on your end.
Another thing, no readiness score. Heart rate tracking during exercise feels...off. No I did not do anything different. It's the same walking on treadmill. Please fix it soon. It's almost been a month. Thanks.

No sleep stages, HRV, breathing rate, Readiness Score, nor Stress Management Score starting 11/16. Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel 6 Phone. All software is up to date. (No updates available for phone, watch, nor Fitbit app. As above, nothing changed with how anything is used or the watch worn. This is the first time loosing HRV. I have experienced 1 or 2 of the others missing at a time for a day, sometimes 2. Last updates were more than a week ago.
I hope I provided enough additional data to find a solution and have a Terrific day!

No, you are wrong. Fitbit has removed ALL sleep data tracking unless I pay for premium. I track my sleep religiously, and on November 8, 2024, I no longer received any data about my sleeping. It's not about sleep position or battery power; it's FITBIT!!! Now, Fitbit wants me to pay $79/year for something I bought my Fitbit to track for free. The watch was not cheap, but now you want me to keep paying more and more money.

Stop EstuardoFitbit from saying it's the user! IT'S FITBIT!!!! You removed the sleep feature to get more people to pay for premium services. My sleep data shows exactly when you took that feature away. Tell the truth!!! But now that you are Google, you don't care about us long time Fitbit users, it's all about squeezing more money from us the consumer! No more. I will move to another fitness watch!

So I had an update to my watch[Google pixel watch 2] the other day - it was the delayed Wear OS v5.0 update.
I again now do have the (previous) more detailed version of sleep data back, including the Awake/REM/Light/Deep stages and also the Sleep Score has returned for me!
Hopefully it stays this way...

This is happening again for me as well. The sleep tracking is now useless. When will this be fixed?
Stop saying it's the users, it's clearly fitbit. I have premium. So give me premium features instead of the useless workout videos you can find anywhere online for free.

I have the same issue. It is hit and miss when it shows up. I even purchased a new charge 6 since none of the recommended steps worked, figured it was the device. Has NOT worked correctly since Google took it ove

Same happening to me as of Dec 25. None of the tricks about editing and saving data work. Ready to give up on the watch 2 since it takes forever to charge since they made the battery changes. Was going to go back to a fitbit but the app is getting worse and worse and this is now a deal breaker. Looking into alternatives. Suggestions welcome

add me to the list. Stopped working 2nd January despite me having an active subscription through Google One. 2 sessions of speaking to support reps got me nowhere, they acknowledged I had an active subscription but didn't come up with anything useful other than an app update is being rolled out in the next week or so. Pixel Watch 2, Pixel 6 both up to date. Really useless.

My sleep cycles and Sleep Score disappeared as of Jan 10. Like all of you, I didn't change anything. It just stopped working. I also noticed that the Fitbit app on my phone has started saying this every morning: "Whoa, take it easy! Your at risk of overtraining. Your cardio load has been high lately." But I haven't actually been working out! If anything, my activity has decreased over the last week and a half. Has one of the sensors gone haywire?

Aaandd it happened again. The problem was solved when suddenly the app asked for an update after it malfunctioned for month+. But it did not last long. Jan 11, it malfunctioned again, until today.
No sleep stages. No readiness score. Heart rate tracking during exercise is weirdly unstable. Please please please update the app. It's frustrating. We're paying for Premium here.

So, after my last post on 11/15/24, I deleted the app, reinstalled, rebooted my phone, and rebooted my Google Watch 2. Miraculously, I got sleep stages back.
I noticed the other day that I wasn't getting a Sleep Score, so I started digging and realized that just like a lot of you - my sleep stages REVERTED BACK to Awake/Asleep/Restless...**ON JANUARY 10th!** Seems like that date was the day it messed up for a LOT of us. So yesterday, I did all the same things I did before, only this morning it's still not showing sleep stages.
I really wish I understood why this is such a hard concept for FitBit & Google - they've had PLENTY of time to figure it out.

with so many of us having these issues, you would think that support would on the case but so far I've been told I must be sleeping funny, oh wait until the update and it will be fixed and finally, I've escalated your case so you'll hear back shortly ( that was 4 days ago) No sleep stages, no readiness score, no BR or HRV. I have an active subscription and the app shows Premium. Pixel 6 and Watch 2, both up to date system and fitbit app wise.
