Unable to add Premium trial for an existing user

I just went to buy a new Versa 4, and take advantage of the 6 months free premium. However as I already have premium, I can’t add the 6 months free. Doesn’t seem fair. Is there a way round this?

I'm glad you got a new Versa 4, and thanks for bringing this to my attention. I understand that you're currently subscribed to a Premium subscription and to take advantage of the free trial, you need to cancel your current subscription. About 1-3 days after your canceled subscription expires, you'll see an offer in the Fitbit app to begin the trial. For instructions on how to cancel your Fitbit Premium subscription, see How do I manage or cancel my Fitbit Premium subscription?
