I love using my Fitbit for workouts, sleep and tracking my heart rate.  I've bought two Fitbits for me, and one for my wife and kids...why on earth do we now have to pay extra to get some extra info of the Premium.  Seems ridiculous.

Premium isn't anything new to Fitbit. I had it when I first got a Fitbit years ago and used it for like a year. I feel like now, they offer a lot for with premium than when I had it.

 

And they do it for the same reason cable charges you extra for HBO, same with MyFitnessPal for their premium ad free content, heck even most podcasts I listen to have premium versions with extra content.

@rayban776   I think the part of Premium that irks users the most is paying for the more detailed sleep features.  We freely give the data to Fitbit, but have to pay to get it back.  That said, Premium includes other features  -- guided programs and workouts -- and users need to decide if these programs are helpful or worth it.
