Charge 2 Reports 13k Steps but Dashboard Hourly is Less. 8.5k Rogue Steps

Hi all,

Trust everyone is well today.

 

I checked my Fitbit Charge 2 which is reporting I have completed 13,000 steps, some 8,500 higher than my monthly average and 100% certain are there in error.

My intention was to enter 'driving' in the activity log to reduce the rogue steps, but the hourly step count is accurate for what I have done...

Why is the hourly dashboard reading showing correct figures but the Fitbit higher?

 

I have synch'd a few times with the issue two hours ago to capture updates, but it hasn't happened... How do I reduce the steps please?

Thanks in advance.

 

PS- I have considered taking the Fitbit off and walking 3.5 miles.
