Data Export limitations

I'm a bit confused with the Fitbit statement ' You own your data'

Fitbit doesn't give a tool to export all data, but only a very limited subset, which gives no possibility to analyse, for instance, sleep phase percentages over a period, or heart rate details.

So if we own our data, how can we extract it ?

There's an API forum on this site. I would definitely check there to see if someone's conquered this already.

The sleep stages model is very new, so I wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't been done yet.

Also, I use a free service through Squash League, which gives me more granular data on heart rate.

You extract it through data export. True we don't see everything. Would probably require API work on your end to see more.

A bit what I feared, will have to find out if someone developed something already (if anyone has a hint on an existing third party service, would be nice), or do it myself.

PS : Fitbit should at least provide an advanced report extract for Premium subscriber 😉
