If I can't sync via fitbit.com, what's the dongle for?

I thought I could sync my fitbit at fitbit.com by having the dongle attached to the computer.  Apparently not?  I can only sync using my Android app?  I'm not sure I understand what the dongle is even for then.  Or am I cracking up?  Is it possible to sync via the web?  Thanks.

Hi, @FalconM! You can't sync via the web on your PC, but you can download Fitbit software and sync with that.

@FalconM  Do you have your tracker set to receive notifications?  The Bluetooth bond between your tracker and your phone is very tight when you receive notifications.  Notifications must be OFF to sync with your computer.

Also, what tracker are you using and what type of computer are you using?
