It takes about 3-4 steps (sometimes 3, sometimes 4) on any standard web browser that is actively logged into gmail.com. It has been doing this for me since I switched to my google id. It has been months. Switching to a google id was a mistake.
I have to assume based it this being pretty obvious and annoying issue that Google does not care about their customers and the only goal that makes any sense is to push all of their current fitbit customers to some other vendors products.
I have been using fitbit almost since they started and the current product I have will be the last fitbit/google exercise tracker I buy.
