Just a quick update on this I did a restart on the device after reading info on the help for Flex. It worked I can now pair the device.
I went on the app to sync my Flex today and it won't pair since the last update. This is NOT satisfactory does Google think people will buy something else no way.
They stopped the pairing using the device on my desktop too so no other Fitbit pairs unless you use an app.

Hi @FayP Yes, with these early devices, Pairing problems are often solved with a few restarts. I'm glad it worked for you.

I am in the same boat....I have been using Flex since 2014 (!!!!) yup, I'm old but love it. My last one (brand new vintage died after just a few months, so I purchased a brand new (vintage) one on ebay, charged it and installed it yesterday. It synced fine, but was dead this morning. I recharged it and it is syncing again BUT I can't update it.
I turned it off and on, I restarted my iPhone, still won't update...just takes me back to the Update Tracker screen. My thoughts are that until I can get it updated it will continue to misbehave. And Probably my other almost new tracker stopped working for the same reason.
Does anyone know how to update these old version trackers?
Thanks in advance, Pam
