Flex 2 won't sync with my Android phone

Hi,

 

I just got a Flex 2, and I'm having trouble pairing it with my android phone. The app detects it, and it blinks all the lights alright, but when it invites me to tap the flex 2 twice to confirm the pairing, the flex 2 then switches off, while the app asks me *again* to tap it twice. When I then tap it twice (again), it turns the flex 2 back on (with the single blue light blinking), and I get a message the pairing has failed.

 

I've been turning bluetooth on and off a gazillion times, both the phone and the flex 2 batteries are full. I rebooted the phone a bunch of times... I even did a reset with the little charging cradle.

 

I just installed today the app on my phone, which is wht I didn't try reinstalling it (yet.)

 

...would be very grateful for any suggestions 🙂
