I noticed that sometimes when I look at the heart icon sometimes it's hollow and other times half full, and then full. What's the meaning of these different icons?

I think that's showing which heart zone you are in.  Maybe empty below zone, half full in fat burn zone, full - cardio zone.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
