Inaccurate readings and date

I just started my Fitbit early this morning. The date showing I January 10. The steps are 832, and that's absolutely too many. I've just been in my bedroom most of the time.

What Fitbit do you have @BaileeMay the Flex does not give a step reading or show the date.

You say that you started your Fitbit, was it turned off or the battery gone dead?

Was the tracker working at midnight so it could reset yesterday's steps?

If you have turned on mobile track.. Found in the Fitbit app. These steps may have been recorded by the phone.

My date/time seems to be off as well. My step count for the day rolled over mid afternoon, my silent alarm is suddenly going off in the evening rather than morning, and my sleep tracker is counting daytime hours. I checked my timezone settings and they're correct. This is a new error from the sync sometime this weekend. Considering trying a reset.
