Love my flex. I've had 3 of them. I don't want to wear 2 watches. Some people love the fitbit programming and features but do not want another watch. Is there going to be something replacing the flex? PLease don't lose a long time customer.

Hi @Tseeman the Flex was retired a while back and was replaced by the now retired Alta and Inspire series. The current one would be the Inspire 2. You can use it with an optional clip if you don't want to wear it on the wrist.

I tried using a clip and lost my fitbit on the 1st day because the clip doesn't attach well, at all. I had the Alta which was uncomfortable and the clips for the band cut my wrist (disappointed), so I went back to the flex. I also bought and tried the Versa which now, doesn't do all I need it to do for work and besides it died after 6 months of use and I had to buy a new watch anyway (disappointed again), so I went back to the flex. In all I have owned/tried 6 fitbits and I also have the scale.
As I said I love the programming. I love that it keeps me motivated and it keeps me on track but I don't want to wear 2 watches. I have to be able to answer my phone without having to run to the other side of the house before my phone stops ringing. I have to be able to return text messages and see my emails coming in, when I get them. I don't want to have to have my phone attached to me at all times. Sadly there isn't a program that allows me to use the fitbit program with the Iwatch and the Apple health app is useless. I like the bracelet (flex) because I can wear both at the same time.
I would even consider wearing the inspire, if it could be set to only display the counter or if it could be put into something, hidden, so that it looks like a bracelet and not a 2nd watch. The flex 2 worked so well because it was small and it was the most comfortable out of all the fitbits that I have owned.

I have a really nice watch collection that I like to rotate through. That's why I love the flex 2. I wear it every day. Bit after 3 years I'm starting to see connection issues. I was hoping to replace it with a new one, and come to find it discounted. I really hope they come out with a flex 3 soon. I. An android user and have not liked any of the health apps like Fitbit.

Yes, they "retired" the Flex 2, by doing upgrades to the Fitbits making them turn off, not charge, and obsolete. and replaced it with a larger unit, then retired that one and now there are only large expensive options.
I too wish my Flex 2 still worked, it's the only Fitbit I will ever own.

I am still using the Flex 2 as I too prefer traditional watches. I am on my third one (one was lost) and I purchase them new online on sites such as eBay.
------
You can still get new Flex 2 from sellers on eBay etc. I refuse to give up wearing watches as I desire.

You can buy a flex or a flex 2 from many places including eBay and Facebook marketplace. They work just fine with the app on your phone I had mine for 6 years. My daughter gave it to me I took a walk the day before yesterday on walkway of the Hudson and came back without it it must have finally fell off my arm. I am going to get another one as soon as I make sure it works fine. Going to look at it this afternoon for $20 with six different color bands that is a flex. I had a flex too which there was also one for sale for $45 about 20 minutes from my home not sure of the difference between flex and flex 2 because I never had a regular flex. I've never had a problem with the flex 2. Other than never having a screen. But it didn't bother me much I also had a charge to which screen cracked three or four times in the small amount of time I had it anybody have a suggestion for the next Fitbit I should get if I choose to get one with a screen? Do not have money for the ones with the bells and whistles and don't need those bells and whistles anyway
--------
You can still buy a flex and a flex too in many many places. Your Fitbit company just does not sell them anymore or repair them. Kind of sad since it was very good and very accurate. Amazing to me that some of the places that they are being sold is that a ridiculous amount of money. It's the people that don't know what they have or have no interest in a Fitbit that are selling them very cheaply I will be getting one for $20 with six different bands and it works perfectly
--------
I have been responding to many people about this you can buy a flex 2 from people online on marketplace and eBay and other places I am getting one for $20 this afternoon. It works just fine and they are giving me multicolored bands with it. Some people just don't want it without a screen. I love it I love how accurate it is no it doesn't have a screen but it's the only Fitbit I ever had until someone gave me a charge too. That screen has broken three times already. I'm not interested in all the bells and whistles but if you look on marketplace you'll find a multitude of people selling their flex and flex too because they wanted newer models they aren't shut off and they do still work I just happen to lose mine after having it for years I was walking the day before yesterday and when I looked down it was gone I searched everywhere
------
It does still work it has not been turned off and it is not upgraded to cause it not to work. I still have but lost it and I'm getting another one my daughter still has one a flex and a flex too and so do many other people you can get them very inexpensive from marketplace and other places don't fall for the people who are selling them for hundreds of dollars because they know people want them

Try eBay. That's where I still get mine. I don't like fitbit as watches as I wear and like to choose my OWN watches.

Sad it was the best looking unobstusive , not everyone wants to wear a computer on her arm
and how long before you retire the inspire?
I can't get mine to sync with new phone!!! It was at least counting steps which was ok, but now won't keep accurate track. I do not want a bulky thing on my wrist

Hi @dsandra this area of the forum isn't actively monitored by Fitbit, so it might take time for someone to stop by to answer questions. The Inspire is still around, but have you considered the Luxe? I went from Flex to Blaze to Alta Hr and then to Luxe. It's slender like the Flex and a soft buttery band. It might be something you'd like to try. As for syncing, here is the trouble shooting article - click to read.

I’m I guy and feel the same way. I like that the flex 2 is not intrusive. I wear a regular watch (either a pulsar or timex) to work. I too do not want to wear two watches. And I can find more elevated straps for it on Etsy. The seller I order from is quite kind. Though she’s based in Germany.
-------
Here’s the elevated band I ordered. Mine is black leather and silver stainless steel though.

I guess Fitbit gets butthurt when we share links.
