Does anyone know if the Flex 2 automatically changes time zones when traveling or do I have to manually change the time zone when I arrive?  Thank you!

I'll be happy to hep you with this. If you already sync your tracker, your Fitbit Flex 2 should be changing the time automatically with your phone. If it didn't change the time, please check if the Fitbit App has the Automatic Time Zone option turn on. To do so, take your phone and open the Fitbit App > Tap on Account > tap on "Advance Settings"  > and turn on "Automatic Time Zone".

  • Check that your phone has the Automatic Time zone on:

1. Double tap the home button on your iOS device. Your open apps will show on your device's screen.
2. Close the Fitbit app by swiping the app image in an upward motion.
3. Open the Settings app from your iPhone home screen.
4. Tap "General."
5. Tap "Date & Time."
6. Ensure that "Set Automatically" is ON.
7. Reopen the Fitbit app. The issue should now be resolved.

  • If the "Automatic Time Zone" is not changing try these steps that some users tried a couple of months ago in regards of this issue.

Hope this works! Smiley Happy

Thank you !  It's good to be part of the community.  Thanks also for your response.  The problem I have is that I have a Blackberry, for which there appears to be no app (at least one that I can find).  I currently use my laptop to sync up.  For our trip I am going to load the app on my wife's iPhone and then I will be able to use your advice.  Thanks again!Moderator

Hi @MR52, thanks for getting back to me and let me know that currently your Flex 2 is syncing via computer! Actually, the Blackberry is not in the list of compatible devices. But I think that your idea of using a different mobile device is a really good one. Give it a try and let me know if you need anything else!

I have the same issue.  I travel often and although I sync the watch as soon as I land, the time never changes, even though the time on my cell phones does.  Time zone in the app is on.  I've sync'd now 6 times and the time doesn't change.

When I went to Europe in May I had to add the app to my wife's iPhone (I have a Blackberry).  We changed the time zone to automatic (not sure exactly what it is called), not a specific timezone, and I had no problem syncing to the iPhone when it changed time zones.

I have also done all of the suggested steps without success. I use an iPhone and gave automatic changes on. My phone changes time, but not my Fitbit. Any ideas? Thank you.
