Is it possible to use two Fitbits at the same time. I have a Fitbit Alta which i like very much and I like the information it gives me, but I also do a lot of swimming and so am interested in using a Flex 2 , can I use both and sync them both to my FitBit data, as I would not be wearing them at the same time but just use the Flex 2 while swimming?

Yes, you can have multiple fitbits connected to an account and it works just fine. I currently have a One, Blaze and Charge 2 connected.
There is a help file on the subject here: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1715/
What I have found is that it is best to sync the fitbits when I swap.

Absolutely yes! It's easy to do, just go to your account and select "Add New Device" then select your model and follow the prompts. Only one model of each tracker can be associated with your account.
When you sync, be sure that the trackers are far enough away so that they won't interfere with each other. You will only see the Dashboard for the tracker that tracks the more in-depth info but all the info from both trackers will be recorded.
And if you forget to switch trackers and end up wearing two, don't worry, Fitbit will sync both and compensate for any overlapping data.
Oh and by the way, I also have two trackers...the Alta HR and the new Ionic. I wear each for half a week and my Alta HR at night.

That combination is allowed by fitbit so should work fine.
I say "should" as there seems to be some issues when using multiple fitbits when one of them is a Versa, Ionic or Charge 3. If you are using android and have one of those three you may find it impossible to add another, different model. However, it seems to work the other way round so adding a Versa to a Charge 2 should work.

I been wondering that myself. I have both a charge 3 and a versa so. I try to set up the charge 3 then it removes the versa thought you can run two fitbits on the app

@SunsetRunner fitbit does allow multiple trackers connected to one app / account but there are limitations. They say:
"Note that you can't connect multiple devices that use the Fitbit App Gallery to one account. For Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, and Fitbit Versa series, only connect one of these devices to your account at a time."

Yeah I had connected the charge 3 to my MacBook. Or iPad then have the versa on my iPhone. So it helps me out that way I guess thanks for the reply.

I have a Versa 2 and a Blaze and have both on my fitbit account without any problems. Just bought the spouse a Sense, and it wont allow a second unit for her Charge 3. We have them for different reasons and would really like to be able to. Seems like something that should be doable....

@NikitaSimpson it sounds doable, but sadly it's not possible. Fitbit say:
"Note that you can't connect multiple devices that use the Fitbit App Gallery to one account. For Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, Fitbit Sense, and Fitbit Versa series, only connect one of these devices to your account at a time."
