1) Did using Fitbit Inspire HR (or I guess any model) actually help you lose weight or did you find it like so many other health-related aids where you used it for a couple of weeks and then it went in a drawer? That's what happened with a step counter I had bought a few years ago. 🙂
2) Is there any 'risk' in buying a new Fitbit off Ebay? My biggest fear is that the seller may have some way of setting it up that when I sync it to my Iphone, my Iphone location and/or other info will be stolen. A hundred bucks is kind of steep and I'd probably find it cheaper on Ebay.

Hi @ChiGSD
All the Fitbit models with HR have been fine for me in tracking calories burned, so I know how much to eat. With just a regular step counter, it doesn't have a good idea of how many calories you're burning in an activity.
Some people try to save some money by purchasing Fitbits off of ebay. But I wouldn't recommend it because if you have issues there might not be a valid warranty for you. Only buy from authorized Fitbit sellers, or from Fitbit's site is my advice.

Thanks, Dave!
I just ordered it via Fitbit's site. I realized there was more protection with the free warranty/return in case it doesn't work or something.
Hope this gets me in shape! :)))
