Fitbit has supported multiple devices for a while now. I use the One and the Blaze (previously the Surge) and it seems to work quite well. There's more information on this in this article:

I still have my old Fitbit Surge, and now I have a Fitbit Blaze. This weekend I did some testing of GPS accuracy, so I notice a few things about multiple devices.
First of all Fitbit will tell you don't wear both at the same time. To swap between devices, this is what I did.
First I close the fitbit App, and opened it back up. This will sync the device you are wearing. Then I turned off the Surge and turned on the Blaze. It took a couple of syncs, but all of my steps on the Surge showed up on the Blaze.
What so many people forget it when they see Sync on the fitbit app, they think their device is syncing with their phone or PC. But what it really going on, is that your Fitbit is syncing with the FITBIT website.
So once the Blaze synced it got all of the steps from Fitbit.com.
It works quite nicely. Keep in mind, you cannot have two of the same device. So you can have multiple fitibit's but they have to be different models.
One last suggestion, when you get your new fitbit, get it at Amazon or Best buy, or anyone that offers extended warranties. So WHEN your fitbit dies, yes I said WHEN, they will replace it with a brand new one. It only costs $20 or so, and WORTH IT! FYI the Blaze is a nice watch! GPS accuracy is short 3% but that's another story...
