Hello... Im a fairly new fitbit flex user and I also do weight watchers. Im having trouble following through with my activity and sticking to my eating plan. Im just in a phase where I just 'dont want to think about it anymore'... But I still do care and Im in it for the long run. I just need to get my 'umph' back... Im looking for someone (or someones) to help keep me on track and hopefully that I can help with keeping them on track.
For weight watchers I am on the lowest points plus plan 26 daily points with 49 weekly points and Im just not stickin to it. Ive stopped tracking and I know that I have to get back at it. I used to be so good and then I just stopped wanting to put the effort in. But if I want results I just gotta do it!
As for exercise.. I am quite sedentary. I work in an office, but only spend about half my day at my desk - I do tech work with testing patients so Im constantly up and down at work. And otherwise unless I specifically plan exercise I dont get it... I play with my daughter, and walk my dog. That's about it. Not enough.
My first week with fitbit, I was averaging about 4000 steps in a regular day so I decided to make my daily goal 6000 to start with. This past week I only hit 6000 twice.. Im over 6000 today so feel great about that, but I really have to start increasing this since 10000 is the recommendation! I already take stairs (hate elevators). I either bus or get a ride with hubby (dont drive myself). I do have easy access to a gym and have multiple workout dvds etc... Its just finding the time and energy and not letting me talk myself out of doing it. I do alot of self talk - which revolves around ''mmm chocolate' and 'ill workout tomorrow'.....
I need help getting back on! I want it, but part of me tells me I wont succeed so why bother...

I refuse to log my food; it's just too much work. I have instead been making more of my food from scratch, making sure it's healthy and using smaller plates.
To get my steps, I get up about a half hour earlier than I used to and jog around my house for 15 minutes or so. It's not much, but it starts my day off on the right foot and I get ~2500 steps. I find as much time as I can during the day to get some steps in. I do all the usual things - take the stairs not the elevator, park far away, etc. When I get home I like to take a walk, but it's too cold right now, so back to jogging in front of the TV. I find the fitbit very motivating - I like my steps to be round numbers, for example (if I'm at 23,458 for example, I'll keep going until I hit 25,000). I recommend challenges, because they also keep me going.
It's doable, it really is, it's just just finding that internal motivation and sticking with it. Good luck to you!

It takes time but you can build up your steps day by day - even if it's in 5 or 10 minute spurts. It all adds up.
