This fourth month of 2020 will bring more mud in my area — and more COVID-19. Like there isn’t enough already! But try not let it get in the way of your goals. Temperatures should be mild in both Northern and Southern hemispheres. Get outside (if authorities allow and you are not sick) and experience life! If you need to be inside it may be time to add some bodyweight exercises to your routine, some yoga, or something else new.
Me, I’m going to try and learn to ride a unicycle this month!. And, of course, I will be washing my hands 10-15x/day, and maintaining 6 ft distance, and otherwise trying to “flatten the curve" in my community.
How It Works
The primary purpose of these monthly challenges is to keep track of your daily step goals for the month; though many of us track other things as well, like body weight exercises, sleep, trips to the gym, logging food, etc. This is not a competition to see who can do the most of whatever, instead it is a challenge to measure your consistency. So whether you do 1k, 5k, 10k or even 40k steps a day, this is measuring how many days out of the monthly total you can hit your goal.
Some might have a constant goal of 10k steps every single day and others might have a variable goal throughout the week, (and some might even plan days off!) for example.
Monday -> Friday = 10k steps a day
Sat & Sun = “6k steps a day,” or “not tracking”
Regardless of how you structure your daily goals, the only thing that matters for the monthly challenge is whether or not you reach what you set out to do.
Suggested Posting Format
1) Post either your constant or variable step goal.
2) Keep track of the # of daily goals achieved out of the monthly minimum and or monthly total
Picture Scavenger Hunt — 3 pictures
The theme of the photo scavenger hunt this month is changing seasons and the effect of COVID-19. It is the beginning of Spring in the North and Fall in the South. So blossoms for some of us, falling leaves for others. And since the pandemic is still raging, pics of how life and people around you are adapting to that new fact of life — including, if you are learning something new in your fitness life, your progression in that. Hopefully I'll be able to share a pic of me actually on my new unicycle sometime this month!
Once the rain stops I'm going to get on this thing!

Although you certainly don’t have to post daily, you’ll likely stay closer to what you set out to do by updating the thread several times/week
Injury Notice
If you injure yourself during the month and need to scale back due to the injury, then all you have to do is adjust your goal for that period. If you normally do 10k steps a day but pull a hamstring and decide to do minimal walking (2k steps a day), then all you have to do is change your goal.

Easter is going to be a little melancholy this year. Usually have a big dinner with Jane's brothers and various family members. This year it falls on Jane's 60th B-day, and we were supposed to be on a Viking Cruise in the Netherlands. But Covid-19 has changed a lot of things. Graduations and even weddings postponed, and for some folks, funerals that family cannot attend ...
Even so, I still see a lot of good karma in the world, and I really enjoy the small celebrations in the neighborhood ...

@Baltoscott Well, I think you and your wife dodged a bullet with the cruise cancellation, and for me my trip to Paris - also cancelled. Those cruise ships have turned out to be problematic with their captive 'audience'.
Lovely pic of the Easter garden. I play anonymous Easter Bunny 🐇 to a couple of people in my street each year - they have NO clue it is me - and I am adding an elderly couple to my list this year. I started chatting to Jack last year over a Citizen Science thing (possum poo!) that I was involved with, and have offered to do some shopping for them since Covid-19. My only worry is that they have a motion activated outside light... I hope they don't also have video attached 🐰!

I planned to add the pic below a week or so ago, but it wasn't really on theme so I resisted. It is an update on the photo I uploaded in February, only in this one Princess Leia has been ousted by Darth Vader and the note on the paper you can see behind him says: 'Luke I am your Father' in pink fluro highlighter.

Seems like everything is in bloom here.
Today on my walk, I decided to pay attention to all the flowers. I tried to see if I could find flowers in all the different colors. The only color I couldn't find was blue. Below are just a few I ran across on my walk. I'm glad people took the time to plant flowers in their yards.
