Awesome!! Last month I tried the rock wall climbing in the college's gym. I pushed passed self-doubt and made it to the top! 😄

Thats so cool! I'm proud of you! I've always had an irrational fear of being upside down and heights.
Yet I jump out of planes in the military
I'm glad you managed to push passed your self doubt!
Anything in life is possible with drive and determination!

Very true! I was already trying to improve my upper body strength and climbing reminded me of that and motivated me.

@EpicTortillas Go you!! Way to conquer your fear! Any words of advice on how you did it?
@Taurus21 Wow, I've never been able to rock climb very well, and especially not to the top of a rock. What did you do to get yourself to push past your fear?
@Gandhi That's so many steps! If you aren't already in a challenge, I think you should join one 🙂
@I-train-hard , @fitmissjen You guys, that's incredible, I'm so impressed!
So, what are your next goals to accomplish everyone? (:

Well, after doing so many steps I realized that is not what I want.
I lost weight but it wasn’t fat, most of it was my muscle and that is unfortunate because I need muscle to burn my calories.
I thought about my priorities and weight lifting, HITT, Tabata comes first.
On Sundays I could walk or run for 30 min but that’s it.
My goal is to have an athletic body. Without muscle I would have my skin covering my bones and I really wouldn’t like it.

I hit my 10,000 steps yesterday! I'm a new fitbit user, so I'm pretty happy about it. I didn't think I would make it but I got my butt off the couch yesterday after dinner and made myself go for a brisk walk. I felt really good afterward and was able to work in some hills. I wish I would have worn my running shoes because I actually felt like running once I got out there.

Agree with you.
From my experience, having our mindset of so many steps target will somehow not giving us the athletic body we want.
Hence I concentrate on fitness training, bodyweight training so on. But somehow those activities will not give us that many steps to champion the accepted challenges 🙂
It's OK with me though, having athletic body is much more important than steps-champion-badges all over my profile.

Probably not overly awesome but I have just gotten into mountain biking at the ripe old age of 51, after many years of being an overweight couch potato.
Already finding uphills I had to walk up I am riding up already after only a few weeks .
I am finding it a good way to exercise as I enjoy it so much I forget I am exercising .

And that's exactly the kind of exercise you want @Shakri101 Good for you to have found something you like to do!

Yes it is easy to exercise if you like it @betpchem, I went out twice today for an hour in total according to my fitbit with an average of around 130 heart rate so a good workout. The park is only a 10 minute drive from home so also makes it good.
I even found the energy to paint the bathroom inbetween rides .
