Well, groups are one way to find people with similar interests and goals.
Also, you can list your goals in an "add me" post or in your signature on the forum.
Possibly try searching in the forum for keywords associated with your goals - you may find threads that are full of people looking to find people to engage in friendly competition with you 🙂
Once you find someone you want to add, you need to go to their profile and click on the + Add friend button.
