Coughing after cardio/ floors climbed not counting

I was trying to get my ten floors a day badge today, and the floors weren't counting.  I ended up going up and down like 30 or 40 times to get 10 floors.  Anyways,  afterward I was coughing, and I had a little reflux.  I'm pretty sedentary.  I just got my fitbit on the 3rd and average 2-3k per day.  Today was pretty bad and I only got just over 1k.  I still think that is an achievement for me.  Oh, I've never been a smoker, and am not exposed to smoke.

I've noticed my Charge 2 doesn't count flights of stairs if it's covered over by my sleeve... Not sure why, maybe its stopping the altitude sensors from picking up the changes. I've easily done my 10 floors this morning but only registered 1!

I've noticed it not counting flights of stairs too - kind of randomly. I sometimes wonder if it has to do with speed or perhaps position on my arm. I'm not sure.

I think speed has something to do with it.  When I wore my one, going up and down the stairs at a reasonble pace would be counted.  A slow walk (especially if carrying something) wouldn't get counted.  The big set of stairs at work got counted as 2 flights.

I find this tends to happen more at home than when I use the stairs at work.  I often wonder if it has to do with the surface & impact.  You may want to try re-starting your tracker, as well.  I find that when it's not trackign well a restart will do the trick.

You may want to talk to a dr regarding the caughing.  Is it possible you have asthma?  I do and that is why I caugh after a workout at times.
