Does anyone feel cramps in their sides when running. If I drink water within a half hour before or during my run (especially when extra strenuous), I always get a cramp on the side of my torso...always!! Even with a small sip of water. Does anyone know how cramps can be prevented WHILE still being able to drink water during runs?

It sounds like stitches to me. When you have something like this, slow down and take a deep breathe. Check this article.

What you're describing sounds more like a side stitch than a cramp and if you google 'side stitches' there are a lot of runners websites articles describing how to try to avoid them.

Wow...i had no idea this existed!!! I stopped drinking water to avoid these pains.. I'm going to read up more on this thank you
