Do you exercise before or after work?

Hello everybody. I was wondering if people prefer doing exercise before going to work or when they come back. In my case I like to workout when returning back home because it helps me to sleep once I put my head on the pillow. I heard that some companies have a racetrack for their employees to run 3 or 4 laps before working to start full of energy. Cat Very Happy What is better for you?

Good point @MustangMark

@EdsonFitbit, that's true, I guess everyone is able to adapt to a training plan according to their own schedule, whatever works better for everyone. What you eat and drink before and after a workout is also an important thing to take into consideration when choosing a workout schedule.

I find it easier to workout after I get off work but that is when I work nights 530pm to 530am . It is a little harder when I work days 530AM to 530PM but I do.

In a word, yes.

I've been doing 2 days for a few weeks now.  I walk/jog (working up to full time jogging) every morning from 5 am to 6:30 ish.  In the evening, I do either weight lifting for 30-40 minutes or HIIT for 30 min, then eat.  I slack off on the weekends to let my body recover, but still try to get in my 10k steps.

Even in resting days we still want to reach our daily goals. Smiley Very Happy We have energy and have time so why not? I think it is better having at least a mild activity during those days to avoid laziness the next day, just my opinion. Smiley Wink

I used to love working out in the morning, a nice 5k run to start the day was brilliant!

But now that i have changed job, my start time is earlier which makes getting up just that we bit harder!

So i have now switched to nights. Daylight savings makes this a tonne easier in summer, but in winter i will admit that i do strugle.

I go to a 24/7 gym, so that helps as well 🙂

I guess it comes down to what fits best with your lifestyle.
