I try to spend my holiday actively. I take some of my lightweight equipment if possible ( I always take my  TRX straps ), exercise clothes, climbing equipment etc. - depends what I'm planning to do. Also, I am a collector. I collect maps, tags, and other real and virtual items that I can get during my activities. I love to collect climbing gym tags ( pity, not all of the gyms have it ), I run, hike, cycle, row just to have a new map recorded from the country/city I'm currently in. I'm all about spending my free time the active way. I'm not a type who goes for "all-inclusive" and spends time drinking cocktails and doing nothing 😉 I need to move - this is how I rest and relax 🙂

Usually my vacations aren't all that relaxing - I'm walking all over the place! I usually end up getting way more steps and I'm more active on vacation than at home.

I recently visited family in Orlando and Tampa. My sister said she was taking a Friday off and what did I want to do. I suggested we go to a fitness class. We went to barre3 (they have studios all over the country), and afterwards we walked to a nearby restaurant for lunch. I think I pushed myself a bit hard, as my legs were aching for two days afterwards. Whenever we're in NYC, I want to walk as much as possible because it's New York and meant for walking.
