I currently jog 5km 5 days a week, and whiles it’s done amazing things for my legs and hips, the other areas? Not so much.
What exercise type should I look at for my bingo wings and stomach area?
I tried a Hiit class and hated it. I’m not much into group stuff and getting yelled at.
Would Aquaerobics or swimming work? Anything else?

Hi @TraceSPN
Some exercises that focus on the abdominal area include crunches, vacuum twists, bicycle crunches, planks. Some exercises that focus on the bingo wings area include tricep kickbacks, planks, press-ups, front row, tricep dips
Swimming can help strengthen heart and lungs while toning thighs, upper back, triceps, hamstrings and lower legs. It can also help work and tone the chest muscles.
Aqua aerobics can provide a full body workout. Personally, I really enjoy aqua aerobics 🙂

Hi @TraceSPN,
Focusing on ab-strengthening well help tighten up the area. But I'm sorry to inform you the effect will be limited. You can't really spot-reduce fat on your body.
We all carry fat in different areas of our body. Where we tend to accumulate it first is usually the last place it goes. So, if you really want to make a visible different, you'll have to lose body fat. In my experience that is more successfully done by restricting calories that exercise, but increasing the amount of exercise you get certainly helps. Best of luck.

Thank you.
I’m doing ok in the weight loss side of things, hit my halfway mark of 16.7kg today, another 16.7kg to go. Body fat wise I’m down from 47% to 41%, got a way to go but it’s heading in the right direction.

@TraceSPN Congrats and you are for sure moving in the right direction. bat wings and bellies are the most difficult for most women to tackle and to dave's point, you can't really spot reduce. Having said all that, you can for sure work those specific muscle groups as noted in the posts here to help build muscle which will improve overall appearance. You also have to consider the skin issue. Depending on how much and how quickly weight loss happened, it may just be a cross to bear. The good news about the belly is your core does everything all the time no matter what activity you are doing. So even doing an arm workout, you can engage your core muscles. If you wear a weight vest while working out it will also put more "stress" on your core and help strengthen that area. The belly muscles are the biggest group of muscles, so literally everything you do besides being sat or asleep- is working them to some degree.
