Hi everyone! I was talking to someone about this the other day and I thought it'd be an interesting topic to have on the forums. There are some discussions about indoor workout ideas, but it'd be useful to have a general topic that covers both indoor and outdoor training on a budget.
As it is expected, walking is the easiest and cheapest activity for most 😅 . I take long walks with my dog and try to walk to errands and appointments to get some extra steps. Feel free to share any exercise ideas inside or outside of your home? Or any technology or equipment that you use as well.

Yes, I am lucky to live right in town and I try to walk to everything I can (though it has rained practically every day for the last couple of months!) There are also some great walking trails in the bush right near where I live and I walk there a lot too. I also swim in the sea and ride my bike. I don't really spend a lot on exercising when I think about it!

Several good body weight programs for full body resistance training (YAYOG).
Usually free though a pull-up bar somewhere adds much to variety.
Get to point of doing things 1 legged or 1 armed and you've really made advancement.
Broom stick with water filled milk jugs (or sand filled) attached to end to add even more weight when needed.
Stair sprints or hops to keep increasing explosive ability. Stairs at local school or park, or short retaining wall - all free.
Help the next searcher of answers, mark a reply as Solved if it was, or a thumbs up if it was a good idea too.

Jump ropes are inexpensive and can be a fun way to get cardio exercise in.

Running and walking are the ideal "free" activity. Just put on shoes and go.
Now with YouTube, it's pretty easy to find accessible workout videos that feature yoga and body weights for a free, full-body workout.

I also think a lot of gyms are now offering really inexpensive memberships. Especially nowadays when memberships are down. If you really want to keep it to home, do things around the house. Working outside, moving furniture, beating rugs outside with a broom like in the olden days- all good for a full body workout.

Outdoors? All-terrain biking. During rehab, all-terrain triking.
Indoors? I have converted a "recycled" 😏 spin-bike into a crank-bike [a UBE].

Those all great alternatives, @cathm @Heather-S @emili @Argali! There are definitely many options for Indoor and Outdoor training that are either free or low cost. All the more reason to stay motivated and active, especially in the last couple of years. 😀
