Hi @SunsetRunner
Glad to see you're enjoying your Fitbit.
Regarding only using it to log runs / walks, I find wearing a Fitbit device all the time is a great way to motivate myself to walk in situations I wouldn't have normally (walking to talk to people at work rather than e-mailing/phoning them, walking slightly longer routes to places, even walking in the house when on the phone), and I think that push towards actually changing behaviours is one of the great things about Fitbit.

Hi @Namyeknom
Im usually on my feet during work (retail) so when I get home, I look at my Fitbit and see how many steps I've made. Then I'm like "Ehh, I've done my part". So by doing it only during work out, it motivates me to get off my chair when I get home because I have to get away from that zero...at least for now until I get into the groove of it. Im tricking myself in a way lol but thanks for the advice! I will start doing that once I'm in the habit of it.
Ah, well, another good thing is you can use them in which ever way suits you! I've done retail and can imagine you'd log a load of steps during work.

Would love to have you join us in the "Slow but steady wins the race" group. We're in it for the long haul, not just a flash in the pan accomplished by over-exerting ourselves.

None of my friends own a fitbit. They're very active, just not interested in really looking at the data and progress. If anyone would like to add me, please feel free to do so!

Would love a fitbit friend! I'm in the same boat you are, none of my SoCal friends "get it". I've lost 25 lbs because of the fitbit and My Fitness Pal and so I'm going to keep going.... :))
I have a particular tough time because I bike everywhere rather than walk, so my profile calculates things a little differently, but on my off days when I'm taking a break from road racing, I should be walking on the beach...considering I live on one....I know...that's so pathetic! LOL
Add me if you like and let's challenge each other and be fitbit buddies! :))

Hi Susan:
I've sent you ad to me my fitbit friend! I'd love to help you get motivated to get back into your regime.
I just got a FitBit Charge HR and LOVE it, so I'm looking for friends to help me stay motivated as well... :))
Look forward to hearing from you.
