Mapmywalk uses GPS and will be more accurate.
A pedometer only tracks steps and estimates miles based on your stride length. If you set your stride length accurately, a pedometer can be pretty accurate for steady walking, but less accurate for other types of walking.
If you use a GPS in the house, it will understate the miles because it counts the straight line distance between each query of the satellites.
Best AnswerI was having the same issue, but my flex miles were way uner the MMW miles. I thought I had set my stride right, but I re-measured several times and now both are pretty close. Try re-measuring your stride several times to see if that is the issue.
Best AnswerCheck your stride settings
The defaults are 0 and 0 unless you have them measured. By my walking and running abilities, I walk 2' 0" and run 4' 0".
