Yes, caffeine – when consumed in moderation – is one of the few worthwhile "supplements" there are. I’ve been going by the 400 mg per day for a 65 kg adult person recommandation mentioned here:

This is more or less what I get with the 32 grams of coffee beans I grind to make two large cups (mugs) with 0,5 liter of water (recommandation of my coffee machine maker: 65 grams of coffee beans for 1 liter of water):
