Getting in steps in a tiny office

I work for a small law firm (basically just me and my boss!), and while our suite has three rooms, it's SMALL. Like, a lap around the entire suite, including my boss' office, is 75 steps. I've been looking for tips online for getting in more steps at work, but they're all things like "take the stairs!" or "use a copier further away from your desk!". There ARE no stairs. There's just the ONE copier, lol.

I'm trying to take walks at lunchtime, but other than that, I'm at a loss. Sometimes I do a little boxer shuffle while I'm waiting for the scanner or the copier, or for my tea to warm up. If my boss is gone I'll march around the office a few times, but I feel silly when I'm not the only one here!

Do you have an option to use a stand-up desk? That's what I do where I work. That way, I can even take moments to step while I'm reading an email or some other documentation.

Can you go outside at break time and take a short walk?

When I worked I would go around my building at break time

@Dynagirl2006, unfortunately, my desk is the front desk, so probably not. I don't think my boss would like the way it looks, or care to spend the money on it.

@WendyB, I am starting to go for lunchtime walks as it gets nicer outside. There's a nice little path that goes back behind the office park and through the woods, then connects with a neighborhood. So that's awesome. But I'd also like to figure out more ways to move inside, and I just feel so limited in here! I miss our old firm sometimes, which was over two floors (six and seventh floors!), so there was TONS of walking every day!

Good you get out at lunch.

If no one is around I would walk in place and read emails
